Tickets on sale now for the 5th Annual Forks of the Wabash Uncorked

HARTA hosted it’s 2nd Annual Dinner a Celebration of Trails Thursday, April 19. The room was filled with fellow trail enthusiasts.  Jim Lewis, President of HARTA and Eric Bruce, Vice President spoke about what’s happened the past year with HARTA and what the future holds. Eric Bruce, Vice President, spoke to the group on How Trails Fit In.  Mayor Brooks Fetters took to the podium next with an update of current trail projects in and around the city of Huntington and was most delighted with projects that will be finished ahead of schedule. The keynote speaker for the dinner was Dawn Ritchie, former board member of the Indiana Greenways Foundation and Greenways Manager of Fort Wayne Trails who spoke about the history and progress of trails in Indiana and the wonderful economic benefits trails bring to communities . Jeff Webb then spoke to the group regarding HARTA’s membership program and ways for fellow trail enthusiast to become involved in HARTA. The evening was concluded with Jim Lewis, President of HARTA presenting the Jim O’Donnell Volunteer of the Year Award to HARTA’s secretary, Kelly Frank.
